I love this time of year with the heat and random thunderstorms. Rain is such a peaceful thing. Storms are such an intensely beautiful thing. Power outages, winds, rain, lightning, thunder... I love it all honesty. I love the feeling it gives.

I am going to be reading through the Voluspo very soon and probably taking some notes on it as well. I plan on getting a but more involved in my Norse studies, as I was getting pretty far in them. The Norse really intrigue me, and I love having knowledge of other cultures and practices.

Have a blessed day, Rhi ♥ Fire is passion.
Fire is spirit. It is the spark of creation, The bringer of destruction. So chaotic. So untamed. So beautiful. I've been really busy the past few days. Cookouts, family gatherings, birthday parties. My brother just left for a few weeks at a bible camp. Hopefully, everything is calming down such and I will have more time to plan some things for the blog. Maybe I will even have more time for CoTD, so I can get back to that.
In other news, I have hung up all my roses to dry. They began wilting pretty quickly. I actually didn't expect them to go as fast as they did. But now they are all hung up, nice and drying. I'm looking forward to that. My computer has been acting strangely. I'm going to do some work on it here in the next few days to see if I can get it running well again. It's been a hassle trying to get on line to do things. Well, that's all for now!
I would have posted thing earlier, but my computer has not been letting me get on the site. I will have more to post later in the day.
Ritual (noun) This is a question I have come across a lot in magic and spell casting. What exactly is a ritual? Even after looking up the technical definitions, a magical ritual is still a bit hard to describe.
I think the main thing that makes a ritual is its sameness. It is similar to a spell in the fact that is has intent, but rituals are cyclical. For example, baptism is a ritual. It is preformed the same way (or close to the same way) every time a Christian chooses to be baptized. This is also the same for children who are baptized at birth. The intent of that ritual is to symbolically show the Christian being cleansed from sin. This is very similar to the way a magical ritual is preformed. It is done close to the same way every time. Spell casting, meditation, worshiping, divining, and many other things can happen within a ritual depending on the ritual. A good example of a ritual is Casting a Circle. A circle is cast when someone wants to do something magical so that they are protected and so the energy remains contained. After the circle is cast, many different things can happen within that circle, such as meditation, spell casting, or divination. After you are done, you Close the Circle. Both are ritualistic actions. There are many examples of mundane rituals, such as brushing your teeth, taking showers, and sleeping every night. So, to put it simply, a ritual is an action preformed the same way every time with a specific intent. "Alya and Gael have to trust each other. - Zefrank1 I didn't post a CoTD yesterday. To be honest, I may not do that for a couple of days. Life is busy, and I'm dealing with some emotional stress. I don't find my divination goes well in such circumstances.
That being said, I will find other things to do on here. Don't worry! You will get the updates you deserve! |
